"Courage, then, my countrymen, our contest is not only whether we ourselves shall be free, but
whether there shall be left to mankind an asylum on earth for civil and religious liberty."---
Samuel Adams
I want to quote a few words from John W. Whitehead President of the Rutherford Institute.
"Over the past few weeks,we have been subjected to a government tidal wave unlike anything
we have ever seen before in history.
I am referring, of course, to the massive expansion of our federal governmental
institutions, and the reckless abandonment by our elected leaders of key moral, legal and
fiscal principles that for so long served as the framework of our nation.
To make matters worse, while our legislative and executive branches have become
consumed with advancing their own questionable agendas at great cost to the nation and
the citizency, our courts have been playing fast and loose with the Constitution.
I have heard from countless Americas over the past several months wanting to know
what they can do to fight back against a government bureaucracy that no longer listens to
the will of the people. I do not believe the answer will be found in the ballot box---politicians
are the large part of the problem. Nor will it be found in the courtroom alone--- there are too
many judges on the bench who have bought into the false ideal that the government knows
what is best and that Christianity has no place in American society.
Frankly, if you want to successfully stand up to the government bureaucrats and take
back your freedoms, the only way to do it is by doing what our Founding Fathers did----
taking a moral principled stand against oppression.
It's definitely time to draw a line in the sand.
This means working in your communities, at the grassroots level, to take a stand against injustice. By this I mean not just attending school board and city meetings but actually voicing
your discontent and being willing to stand on principle, even if it means rocking the boat.
This certainly means refusing to remain silent in the face of discrimination. in other
words, it means fighting back the next time a school official orders a student to take down a drawing because it depicts Jesus or rewrite a speech because it mentions god. .......
But hope is not lost.
While the American Dream may lie in tatters at our feet, it doesn't have to stay there.
I truly believe that we can ensure that this country remains a welcome home for liberty,
but it will take all of us working together, raising our voices loudly and taking a stand for the things that matter.
After all, truth demands confrontation."
